I made a mistake and crashed my spindle into the indexer bracket cutting the indexer power cord off about an inch from the case. Long story short now I get limit switch and motor fault errors when trying to cut with the Bot.
Does anyone have any ideas on what might be wrong, other then me being stupid and not paying attention to what I'm doing.

Hi Mike
I wouldn't run the mashine . You will need to eather hook that motor back up or disable the drive for the indexer , otherwise you will do more damage to the mashine . Call shopbot to help you fix this one .
Stephan,
I did disable the indexer drive. The problem still exists and yes I will be contacting SB on Monday for some assistance.

Hi Mike
There is some jumpers that you have to put back when you unplug the com cable that goes to that indexer drive. and you need to turn it of in the software also . Good luck , I hope you didn't break anything else .

Part of the problem may be that when the indexer wires were cut the ones that were seperated now touch each other and are causing a short circuit. In any event, you probably will have to totally disconnect the wires from the box to send it back for repair so you might want to do it now to eliminate the potential for any damage.
If nothing else you eliminte that as a potential problem for other damage for yourself. You might ask them if they have a wiring diagram for the indexer motor to see if you can just fix it yourself.
Thanks Jack but I repaired the broken wires before I restarted the machine.

good, hope nothing major damaged. My first "move" done with my shopbot was to plunge a 1/2" spiral bit all the way thru the plenum board and make a long cut to see the floor, so don't feel bad.
