Hey everyone,
I am in the process of making way in the shop for some more equipment,
( I love new tools!)
My shop is small ( 20 x 28) but works for now. If anyone has any shop layouts or pictures of thier shop I would love to see them so I can get some ideas on how to make the most of my space.

Hi, I am looking for someone to come to my shop and help me get started with my cnc. I would like to be shown how to set up the program and get the machine up and running. I've had several set backs and would like some help. I am located about 100 miles west of Dallas, TX.

Wood magazine has some useful info http://www.woodmagazine.com/wood/story.jhtml?storyid=/templatedata/wood/story/data/97.xml
They have published articles on various small shops they have set up also.

To help you lay out your shop, Grizzly has a great, free, online app to layout the tools in your shop. You drag and drop tools into the floorspace part of the application, and you can see how they will be arranged in your shop. It has gridlines so that you can figure out the spacing. Here is a link... http://www.grizzly.com/workshopplanner.aspx

I find no 2 shops are alike and always find a new perspective when I visit someone elses. In the end I think it has to do with size, shape, tools, storage and most importantly work flow. So regardless of how anyone elses is laid out, consider the work flow most typical for you and ask, how do I move it from here to there efficiently?
