Hello All,
I'm still getting my feet wet, or maybe by this time I'm up to my knees...anyway, I'm looking for some guidance on beginning to understand how to create a, I guess it would be called a "macro". IE, we do not have a Euro hing boring machine so I want to be able to type in my door size at the SB screen, not design screen, my door size and then execute a file which has been predetermined to bore my cup hole and dowel holes at "X" from top and bottom of door. Our next project has us duplicating a door style that is original to this old farm house that has a route pattern on each inside corner...I want to do the same thing for this application. I'm guessing I should be looking at the "forms" or " fill-in sheets" I have seen referenced here, but again I am very unclear as to where I actually want to start this learning process....any and all input will be greatly appreciated...TIA.
Jon

Hi jon,
The shopbot control software is programmable on a fairly simple level, and using "input" and "print" (to a text window) an interactive part file to do what you describe could readily be written.
Have a look at the programming manual and documentation. If you want me to send you some similar sample files I can email them to you.
