There was quite a 'Bot crowd on the Meebo site tonight! Next time a session is announced ( I think Thursdays and Sundays are targeted) give it a try...

Thanks for everybody who participated in tonight's chat.

Just to reiterate - Sundays and Thursdays at 8 PM EST is the time the group decided on.

Here are a few topics that participants thought would be good for future discussions:

1) Machine maintenance tips
2) Vacuum
3) Tooling choices
4) Places where I 'get stuck or stopped' in the CNC process
5) How do I...?

Feel free to add some ideas to this list. Remember - this is a community effort. Due to the limited nature of a chatroom, aside from basic questions, things like 'How to do 3D' and other graphics intense things are not likely to be covered. Just to reiterate, these sessions are not about software or hardware training. They are about this community sharing information, making new friends and discussing things in real time.

Just as an added note, be sure to log in using your real name on Meebo, so that others know who you are. The system will default to a 'Guest1234' name which doesn't lend itself to being a virtual name tag.

I look forward to meeting more of you on Sunday. Please submit some topics that you would like to bounce off of other botters so that these sessions can have some focus and direction to them.

What a surprise when I pop in at 19:30! It was a bit overwhelming at first but I think it may get more organized in the future.

There as been a suggestion that I got more than once about having more than one room. Topic specific rooms. I'm not sure I can moderate and join in more than one at once but... well, what's your thoughts about this? One good point is that it may easier to follow the focused discussion(S).

Thanks to Brady for getting into this. You either got lots of fans or some kind of influence (attraction)...! Thanks to Bill Young for the encouragements and support. Thanks for the nice comments and critics I received from many fellow Botters. Thanks for the great participation. It was fun and I hope you enjoyed it too.

It would be interesting to see a bit of eurotalk since there's some issues peculiar to us on this side of the pond, yes, but I'm not sure how many eurobotters there are.

I think it's time for a roll call, to see if we're just a handful or more; I'll take it to a separate thread.
