I having trouble installing my upgrade in partworks. I an running Vista. I can install the upgrade but it never asked for the key code. All functions seem to be working, but when it is closed out it returns to version 2:confused:

make sure you are running the right copy. you may be running the old shortcut.

Not sure what you mean by right copy? I was using the cd that shopbot sent me as the update.

you may still be running the old version. when I went from vcarve 4 to 5 the new version was installed in a vcarve 5 folder. so one shortcut pointed to vcarve 4 and one pointed to vcarve 5. so you need to check and see if the shortcut is to the older version. right click on the shortcut and look at properties and make sure it is pointing to the newest version.

Thanks Steve,
Not sure what was happening I did not have the short cut on the desk top. I went though and used ccleaner and defraged hard drive reinstalled and now it is working:) So all is well. I will be glad when I can upgrade away from Vista I have So much trouble with it. Service pack 2 helped a lot but did cure the freezing up of the computer.

Edward, where did you get an upgrade for partworks? I've looked on the SB site and only found an upgrade to V 1.102

Shopbot sent it out to the people that had Version 2 of partworks already.

PartWorks v2.5 will install as a separate and distinct program from 2.0 - you need a different serial number to use it. If you cannot get it to work, I'd suggest contacting ShopBot directly to resolve the problem.
