What is the easiest way to find home? I wrote the coordinates down when I first set the project up and the C3 routine was finished. But for some reason I must have written them down incorrectly. How can I find home after a 2d cutting has been cut to remove all evidence of the original home?

There are more than one way to accomplish this. A very easy way is to "Zero X" Z,X and "Zero Y" Z,Y. Now after completing the cut simply return the machine to 0,0.

First thought is to see if you have the program set to SR (relative position)so it is starting from the last spot it ended the previous file, rather than SA which is absolute so it goes home each time.
I have done this the easiest way I could think of.
1. turn machine off
2. Drag carriage slowly to zero
3. turn machine on, start software and zero X and Y
I used the 60 deg Vbit for a pinpoint to make my "laymen" way of doing this as accurate as possible.

"2. Drag carriage slowly to zero" - WARNING - WARNING, in every piece of documentation you have received from ShopBot, that is an absolute no-no! Those drive motors become mini generators when moved with the power off. This can cause voltage to be sent through all of the control boards in your Bot controller. Do yourself a very large favor and don't tempt fate, just don't do it! :) Use one of the above suggestions to get your machine reset. Russ
