Is there a program that can give you a dxf or dwg file from a cut file?
I have a few cutting file that I did a few years ago that I want to alter.
I had a major computer crash that lost some files.
Needless to say I now back everything up on an external hard drive!

Thanks Brian

another thing to use is www.dropbox.com. it will back up and mirror up to 2 gigs for free. it also lets you sync those files between computers. it has saved my butt a few times.

Brian,

In shopbot control software look at (F)ile (C)onvert. You'll need to choose convert .sbp to dxf in lower right corner, then select a .sbp file. Then in the converter (F)ile, save as DXF.

I've tried your suggestion and I follow you until I open the sbp file I want to convert.I can't figure out how to save it in a DXF file.

In the Converter program after you've opened your .sbp file, chose 'File' from the converter menu, then choose 'Save as DXF'.
