OK, here are a couple more pictures, just to get this forum rolling again. Since I did human hearts I thought I should consider other organs too. Here are some brains to get you thinking!

Awesome!!!

Did you develop that model or find it premade?

Russ...Michael told me he got it from an MRI image after making the decision to buy a Shopbot.

;-)

Pretty cool, isn't it.
What woman wouldn't want to store her jewelry in her husband's brain?

Russ,

I got it off the web. There is a lot of cool, free stuff out there. What do you need?

Chuck,

What woman would even admit their husband has a brain?

I love boxes, Michael, and that is so cool as well as the heart box.

Maybe you would be kind enough to save me some searching and point me toward where you found the 3d file.

TIA

Donn

Donn,

I've been doing lots of boxes. I like the size because the files run pretty fast and I can turn out lots of different things every day.
I just do a search on Google whenever I have a little free time for Free 3DS files. Here are a couple I found this week:
http://www.sharecg.com You need to sign up for this one
http://www.3dlinks.com
Sometimes I just look for Free 3D files but it is easier to specify a file format like 3DS or obj for example. Let me know if you want something in particular. I may have it already...

Cool stuff Michael. I just wish you would have told us you digitized it.

Ed,

I do most of my own designs in Aspire. Donn just happened to pick one that I "borrowed"... All my oval boxes were done from scratch.

I think he meant that he would be more impressed if you had probed a real brain.

At least, that's how I read it - and laughed. I might need more coffee this morning.

Russ (and Ed),

OK, maybe I need more coffee as well!
Don't forget - I'm the guy making caskets for Barbie dolls! You can never tell what I am doing out in my secret laboratory!!!
I just got the chance to bid on 25 more caskets for for another company - Halloween gifts, they said. They want them 24" tall.

I may have found my niche! Ha ha ha!

michael could have used a scan of Chucks brain for the model but then it would have been an awful small box...lol

Russ and Michael,

Yes that was how I meant it. Not that I would have been more impressed, I'm completely impressed. I was just being a smart___. I figured if you had said you digitized it, many would have "lurked" but few would have posted, especially if they knew you knew where they lived! There I go again, being a smart___.

Jack,
From here I can't even see Chuck's brain (but that's because he's on the opposite side of the country).

Ed,
I was confused by the word digitizing. I had just posted something about using a laser on an embroidery machine. We call it digitizing when we take artwork and convert it to embroidery machine language. I'm going to do more 'organ' boxes just to see if we can get the lurkers to post!

In retrospect I guess I should have used "probe" instead. Nothing worse than when all you hear are "crickets" after a joke that falls flat!

I resemble that remark!
But....Are you suggesting a ShopBot is not up to the task of reproducing my small, uncluttered and insignificant brain?

Boxes sell!

You are right, Jack. As always!!
However,
Its not what you got but what you do with what you got!

For example:

Consider the novelty... A brainless moron is making "You" laugh!
