I am trying to convert my Parts Wizard .art files to Part Works .crv My original files were made in an old version of Auto Cad(which I no longer have) and saved as .dwg files. Part Works does allow importing of .dwg files. I guess I could try to find another older version of Auto Cad and convert them but I'm trying to save some steps. Otherwise I have to convert about 200 file to dxf and redo them in Part Works. Any ideas.

Partworks will import a dwg.
It won't open the file on its own though. You have to start a new file and then import the data.

Bill,
I think somewhere in the archives Bruce Clark made a conversion utility to go from a PW .ART to the Windows clipboard that allowed you to paste your vectors into PWorks. Not sure if it is available...if it worked etc - Just drawing on memory here.
As a side note, I have the ability to convert files here & have done so for many customers making the switch to Vectric. I typically give the customer an EPS that can be imported into PWorks and Aspire. Toolpaths unfortunately do not come over. Contact me off list if you are interested.

with the newest version of partworks you can directly open dwg files now.
