After Overhauling of my machine , i checked the functionality, efficiency of the anti-backlash nuts ... Following bear was machined for the top cover of Jewellery box..and its just out of machine, no sanding done yet...
Rough machining was carried out with 6.5mm Endmill, Finish machining and Profile cut carried out with 3mm ball nose cutter..
Total time 1Hr and 10minutes including tool change...

Cute! I would snuggle with it, if it wasn't for the splinters! What kind of wood is it? I know you don't work with many species we have here in the U.S. Keep up the experimentation. I just adjusted everything on my machine yesterday. I must have had at least .05" backlash, and my pinions were warn enough to get some clunking. Now everything is dialed in, and it sounds much smoother as it runs.

Thanks Justin
The wood is from 'Mango Tree' .. We have plenty of Mango trees in our region ... The quality of this wood is not as great as you are using ;)... However it works great for me.. Almost all of my creations are from Mango wood...
1.27 mm (0.05") backlash is not that good not that bad for woodworking purposes.. However,I was having that much backlash and was not happy with it.. so i installed anti-backlash nut and now it works as a charm (now it is almost equal to 0.004")...
Here is some more parts i cut for the jewelery box today, some more to go by tomorrow.. and you can see how the parts going to match with each other...;) The Pen is kept to give you an idea of the size of Box...
