I have a potential job coming up cutting 1" plywood and the client is requesting a taper on the cut so I was curious if anyone has a idea where I might find such a cutter. Onshrud has a 7 degree but only in a 1/2" shank and 1/4" cutter. I would like a 3/8" cutter as I have been luck pushing these without problems.

Thanks in advance,
Ron

mcmaster may have one but expect to spend a lot of money. but I don't know how fast you can push them they really want to life the wood and don't cut that cleanly. just checked and you only get 1 degree if you go with 3/8" but they are pretty strong and will cost about 65.00 remember they are only 1/4" at the tip I have a couple and they are beefy.

the only thing I don't like is they don't cut cleanly on plywood and solid wood. I found a regular router bit at 11 degrees I think that has the flat carbide cutters. it has about a 1/2" tip.

I would ask the folks at Centurion Tools and see if they have one or have plans to make one.
