I downloaded it. but it is setup more for metal then anything else. where your not worrying about grain or mirroring and such.
I am trying a file that vcarve could not do because the dogbone cuts overlapped the edges of the pieces. so far it has been working about 40 minutes and has not finished.

Hi Steve,
You can just set the "Rotation Step Angle" for each part to 180 if your material has a grain. This has the effect of allowing 0 and 180 degree orientations of the parts and keeps the grain direction consistent. Also, mirroring of parts will not happen unless you tick the mirror option of a part (it is disabled by default).
MyNesting keeps looking for better nests until you tell it to stop ... so it will never say it has finished. You should be seeing the first solution within a few seconds and, hopefully, several improvements after that to squeeze as much out of your material as possible. Many users are really liking this as they can run nesting overnight to get maximum yield.
Hope the above info is useful. PM or email me if you still having troubles and I'll do my best to help out.
Glenn
