PRT 2004 X driver bad

I have a 48x48 ShopBot bought new in 2004. I think a driver went on my X. The one moter stopped working and caused the ganty to rack. I dropped the x moters down and the one motor makes a lot of noise and stops even with the motors down. I swapped motors and the problem is still on the same side. I seem to remember reading that my control box had a spare driver for the indexer and that you could use that for the X. Could someone help me out on this?

Basically you plug the cable from the bad driver into the A slot, then use VI command to assign X axis to driver channel 4 which was A. Since there are two outputs for X, I think you also leave X on the driver channel one, but don't remember for sure. Hopefully someone who has done it recently will chime in.
