Has anyone used rev-a-shelf's pull-down closet rod? If so, how well do they work and are they reliable? thanks!

Have never used them but most of revashelfs product seems pretty decent. All my cabinet accessories come from them.

I saw them at the Kitchen/Bath show in Chicago.
They work very well for higher sections especially for extra high closets.

Thanks for the feed back. Erminio- did you get the impression that they would support a rack full of shirts. I have not seen it beyond a photo and it appears like it might be a little flemsy..?

They seemed sturdy.I also saw Hafele version. They both appeared to be from the same manufacturer.

It's a good concept.Don't know how necessary for standard closet heights.

Would work for shorter clients.

Just a follow-up. I posted the same question on woodweb and got the following:

I have not used the RevAShelf product but have used the one from Hafele.
Theirs has a plastic Tee fitting where the pull down stick joins to the clothing rod pipe.
Unless you pull the stick down at exactly 90º you will crack the plastic Tee fitting. If you pull it down from any oblique angle you will need to replace the Tee fitting.
Neat concept but not very good engineering. 5/26 #3: pull down closet rod ...

I tried to use them, installed it then realized they were lacking and never were going to function for more than a few days. Sent them back and ordered some made by Sugatsune. Difference $59.00 to $300.00.
