I have a potential customer with an outdoor kitchen located in Northeastern Ohio that is fully exposed to the elements. The existing doors are full overlay mitered cedar stiles & rails with a luan panel and interior overlay hinges. They are failing. I'am considering 3/4" tan Starboard and stainless overlay hinge hardware, along with a vgroove bead board look to blend with the rough sawn cedar boxes. I have 2 concerns, How will they perform in direct sunlight and is it appropriate to run the hinge screws directly in the the material? Thx Steve

Steve...
King Starboard will have no problem with that climate. Screws will work, but tapped machine screws or dowels will be better as the material is very dense.

How do you plan to accomplish the beadboard look?
