Hello,

I have recently purchased a 2007 PRS Alpha 4x8. Tomorrow I will purchase the ecabinets link as well.

I have over 5 years experience running a CNC but it was a stone machine rather than a wood machine. I was hoping that one of you had a similar setup (prs alpha, ecabinets link and build primarily frameless cabinets) and would be willing to share some "I wish I had known this when I started" type information. If someone is willing to have a phone conversation with me I would be willing to pay for your time (via paypal I suppose).

Also, if anyone has any tips or tricks to suggest on the forum I would be grateful as well.

Thanks!

Jimmie

Welcome Jimmie.

You will get all your questions answered here.

Most that visit this forum use the Link daily and some have even learned the hard way.

Does your machine have a spindle or a drill?
These work best for cabinet production.

Spindle yes, air drill no. The drills are not super expensive.......I could add the drill.

You could do everything with a 1/4" bit.

But I like 5mm holes in my frameless cabinets.
I have 2 Z's. Cut with a 1/4" compression and drill with a 5mm bit.
No bit changes, goes pretty fast with no supervision from me except to hit enter and change sheets.

I cut with a 3/8" mortice compression bit and have a separate air drill head for my 5mm holes.
Great combo for cabinets
