I have a customer that really wants a good edge. his last guy seems to have had a high end cnc. I can almost get it smooth enough with a 2f straight bit but not quite. I am going to try a 1/16" I have been using a 1/8"
I have to use a straight as it is only .09 and it will lift with a upcut.
I can sand the edges but that's a lot of work when it could be 1000 pieces. they are just long triangles for fishing lures.
but the cost each does not let me cut slow or in two passes.

Steve: I hate to sound like another rah-rah guy for Centurian but I just tried out one of their single o-flute straights and it was a darned nice edge. In my opinion the cut could only be improved with a laser.

I had not tried any of their straight flute bits. I can usually get the amana for less locally.
but this customer wants the price so low and won't pay me to try different bits and of course wants it right away. I don't think I want to fork over 75.00 to see if it will work. if it does not I am sol. it might be more that the piece is vibrating when cut. with the lexan I don'[t get much of a burr to hold it in place and the parts are not that large. cutting any slower then 1ips makes it cost too much.
