Is there anyone out in the shopbot world that can tell me when the Tyro is going to be available for purchase?

Chris...
Head to the IWF in Atlanta...my guess is that you can get one there

Wish I could but I can't. Do you know of any other way of getting a hold of one? I'm curious when it's going to be listed on the Shopbot website.

They still had the prototype units at the Makers Fair in Detroit but they were running them are very nice.

I called Shopbot and the information I got was that the Tyro will sell for $4995. The price does not include a router or any bits. It has a 24" x 18" cutting surface and a 2" Z height. I didn't ask but I am guessing it will come with the usual Shopbot programs. More information should be on the Shopbot website sometime this week or maybe next. I hope this information is helpful to anyone interested in the Tyro and I appologize if any of the information I provided is inaccurate. Now I just have to figure out a way of convincing my wife into letting me get one. Any suggestions? :)

Offer her a lot of goodies that could only be built if you have a CNC.

Nice. I like that one Carlos. I was also thinking about just buying it. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is permission.

Is there any new development on the release of the Tyro since the IWF show.

Thanks Rich
