I purchased a PRT Alpha in 2004 it arrived in two big boxes and I somehow managed to put it together. The amazing thing was that it worked, better than advertised even with my two left thumbs assembling it.
During the past 6 years my bot has cut thousands of sheets of MDF, AlucoBond, perspex and many other sheet goods, it has cut kilometres of solid timber and naturally it became a bit worn and tired.
We recently decided to upgrade by adding new rails on the X and an ATC. Shopbot advised that we need to install the new Z if we wanted to install the ATC so we ordered the new Z as well.
The parts arrived, again in two big boxes, on examining the shipment a necessary motor mounting plate was not included in the shipment. I emailed Shopbot Friday 10 September around 9pm our time, approx 6 am US Eastern Time. The replacement part arrived today, Monday around noon our time (approx 9pm US Eastern Time) included in the parcel was an apology for not including it in the original shipment.
That is great service!!!
Thank you ShopBot.
