Does anyone have ideas/photos/drawings/dxfs for a hook that would allow me to hang a bat house for painting?
I have the booth and an overhead bar to hang the houses. So far, none of my ideas really work well. I need to be able to spin it and easily take it on and off the bar. I thought surfing the net to see how others may have solve it might give me some ideas. So far, I can't find any waves.

What i use is steel wire used to hold insulation in crawl spaces about 1/16 dia x 16" long bend hook in either end, one to go over the bar the other to hook on the part.
If there isn't a hole on the part i use a sheet rock screw with a washer on it and stick the end of the hook through the washer on the screw.
I don't want it to spin to hard to chase it around but if i did i would look at fishing leaders that have the swivel on them. Add a couple of hooks and you have a spray thingy that spins.
Hope my ramble makes sense and you can use some of it.

Hey Batman,
Try these - they are designed for doors, but they might work for bathouses too.

For hanging to dry. I used screw eyes into the ceiling (every couple of feet) with a steel wire going through them so I could hang several items.
For your booth, hgo to Home Depot and pick up an inexpensive lazy Susan and put a round disk on it and place in the booth. You spray and spin in a stable way, and the pick the bathouse up and hang it, go to the next... etc.
You could hang on the screw eye, wire with a hook and wire and just hang and spray but you need to be careful of overspray and then rebreathing the paint (I think the booth is a better idea)
good luck

Robert...
I have used the wire for commercial suspended ceilings. Yoou can buy a bundle 12' long for a few bucks. Strong & stiff

how about a couple of 10/0 fish hooks on some 200 lbs test line. they will not slide off and will certainly hold the weight. put the 2 lines together then attach to a swivel if you want it to turn easily. The contact point should not leave much of a mark.

How about attaching a block to the top and one on the bottom of a cheap ball bearing swivel 3"-4" dia.
Add a hook to top attach to ceiling and an eye hook to bottom.
An open hook on the bat house is all you would need.
Sent you an email with crude sketch.

Thanks guys, that's what I needed. I cobbled together something that works using your tips.
It's amazing how much carp is laying around here... I actually have several boxes of those insulation hangers, a roll of suspended ceiling wire, a huge assortment of metal plates and brackets... found an entire trailer hitch I forgot about and a whole lot more. :D

BTW, Gerald, yes, we've been hanging them downside up to paint.
