We got the bot all set up and hooked up all the wiring. I installed the software and it found and installed the usb driver.

Now I get a message saying it can't find the shopbot, make sure the control box is turned on. I checked and it is on. I checked and I have voltage coming in. I have tried everything I can think of but no luck.

There are two emergency stop buttons but resetting them doesn't help.

It will be Monday before I can call Shopbot so any ideas would be helpful.

By the way it is a PRS alpha 60 x 96 3 phase with automatic tool changer.

Thank You
Jerome

Could be the firmware is not installed.

With Go to utilities tab in the menu and clic install firmware.

Not sure with yours,

but I think you want the control box on... you then have to turn it off for 30 seconds and back on.

Email Shopbot support with as much detail as you have and you may well get a phone call on Sunday.

There is a sequence for startup or you will get errors.

Turn power to the box on...

initiate shopbot3 control software

push the reset button on the control box

make sure you plug your usb cable back into the same slot you initiated your firmware with. I have found that if i plug mine into a different port then originally setup i get errors. It is a 2006 prt alpha, that may differ.

I had to fire the "Professional Electrician" I hired as instructed in the assembly manual. His name is Jerome

He neglected to hook up the 110 wire which is located right next to the 3 phase wires.

However I had to rehire him so he could finish with the assembly.

Maybe I'll get to see it run today

Thanks for the Response's
