I need to glue some pink styrofoam together to make a volcano and don't know what glue would be the best to do that with?

You are like a newbe, did you do a search. There was a discussion about glue.

no, i didn't....I guess after answering over 3,000 posts and repeated questions (probably even some that you have asked) that were previously asked/answered here, I wanted to get a quick up to date answer and didn't want to wade thru hours of back posts. Sometimes i ask questions for affirmation of what i think is the right answer.

I don't believe in the "reinventing the wheel" way of doing things, when you have this VAST knowledgebase and experience at your fingertips which will keep you from wasting time and material.

Jack, the best adhesive for foam is called Enerfoam.
I have used this on the last 2 projects and it holds fantastically.
It expands and is set up in a short time.

in the motion picture business, we glue up a lot of foam. the main issue is always time.

Spray 77 by 3m is fast but doesn't hold as well.

Gorilla glue holds well but needs a while to set.

Spray insulation will work (its just foamed gorilla glue) and sets faster

Hilti makes a foam insulation product that works very well.

3m also makes a water based contact adhesive that makes a good primer as well as an adhesive.
