Looking for a .5 diamater, 3 inch cutting length (or better) round nose bit for wood.
The sites I've searched don't show one.

Thanks

Magic,
You can check out Robb Jack which is in Lincoln, CA.
Pricey, but apparently worth it...http://www.robbjack.com/pdf/RJWood5.pdf

The 6" overall length on these tools might make you top out your Z, depending on what tool you are running. If this is the case, you can grind a score mark 1" down the shank and snap it off at 5" long with a smart hammer blow. You wont be able to cut thru the carbide in your shop...but you can make a clean break if you score it with a dremel, wizzer or a 4" cut off wheel.

Hey Brady,

They have smaller lengths as well. I believe they range from 2.5" to 6". Nice tip on scoring and snapping though.

Our particular application is different than most. We have a real long z stroke, (10 +") to center of indexer. I'm sure most don't. Good point!
