Another Grounding Question

I've gone through a lot of posts looking for the answer, but just can't find what I'm looking for.

PRT with 5 HP Columbo and the Delta VFD.
New Controller is on the way.
3 HP 230 V Dust Collector

New 100 Amp Sub Panel in shop is fed off 200 Amp Main in the house.

4 wires Hot Hot Common Ground between Main and Sub

ALL Outlets are run with separate Common and Ground.

The Question:

Do I run a ground wire from the sub panel ground to a ground bar at the Bot and ground everything to it?

Do I sink a ground rod at the Bot and run all my ground to that.

It is all very confusing, but I would like to do it correctly the first time.

Talk to an electrician about your specifics. I am a big believer in ground. each panel in my shop has its own earth ground. To take out static from dust collection, I use grounded metal duct and the dust collector should be grounded (this may be required if you are zoned commercial), if you have flex duct make sure to ground around it as well, the frame on my bot is grounded.

There are two separate issues here by the way. There is satisfying the electrical code that each box should have a bonded ground. Then there is the issue of static ground to prevent control problems.

All ground should be tie together. If not you could have a difference of potential between to two ground and that would be bad. You don’t need extra ground rod. The one at your house is enough, but it won’t
Hurt anything if you put more in.
