I need to cut two sheets of decometal laminate. I plan on gluing to plywood first and then cutting it on the bot. Here is the material. http://formica.com/ProductLine_Colors.aspx?prl=PRL_DECOMETAL&cls=CLS_BASICMETAL brushed aluminum. Should I cut it out with the protective plastic on or should I remove it? Also I was going to use a whiteside downcut 1/4" bit rd2100. Would that be ok? I have never cut laminate or metal before so any advice would be helpful. Also the edges will either be covered up or against something so I don't think I have to file it down.

Thanks, Chris

done a lot of this, it is aluminum and very thin on a phenolic backer with a down cut bit treat it like it was wood, if you have a small area of off fall test it first. i leave the plastic on
