Hi,
Anyone know of any techniques for creating an old rough edge for a wooden sign? I'm using nice dressed timber and want to mess up the border of a sign to make it look old fashioned and hand made.

If you happen to have the "Design & Carve Wildlife" series from VectorArt 3d, there's a video tutorial for a rustic hand hewn look frame that is available online in the additional resources section.
If you have Aspire/VCP/PW, you could use the "texture toolpath".
Also, with Aspire, you can create a model of the texture preview and cut it as a 3D toolpath. Tim Merrill has a good example here...
