ShopBot Preview Error

I new customer waiting on delivery of ShopBotBuddy BT48 with HSD 2.2HP 220V 1PH PRS Alpha 24V On Board Spindle. I have received Aspire 3.0 software and ShopBot software with PartsWorks etc.

My question is when i use run shopbot in virtual mode and load a tool path created in Aspire ( and views well in PW).... i get 'ERROR: Tooldatabase written by later version of program' i then hit enter key and model is displayed

is this a warning or error.

i looked in forum and saw nothing on this particular msg.

Do you have latest version of Shopbot control program or did you get it off a cd they sent. Go to support on shoppbottools.com and download latest version and see if that helps.

Aspire 3.0 is a recent update and I suspect you may have an older SB control program and they are not getting along.

You r correct... cd version as sb3.6.30 and updated version was sb3.6.32... solved the problem...

Follow up.... as i am waiting for shopbot and my workshop laptop is running vista home... i have shopbot running in xp mode.... also have dual processors etc on dell laptop. my boy has the dell xps8100 running windows 7... beefed up for gaming (which i am willing 2 take over ). ... loaded all on it checked versions etc... same error message.... went and ran shopbot in xp mode on win7.... errors went away.... willing 2 get new machine for workshop.... confused about running shopbot on 7.... because as we all know.... microsoft will stop supporting xp soon.... all threads i read say win7 is ok... just thought interesting that shopbot needed win7 in xp mode.
