Making crown moulding from Foam?

I was thinking of getting a 2" thick piece of blue insulation foam from lowes and carving some simple pattern of crown molding say 6" wide so one sheet would give me 64 ft of molding.

The cheapest **** crown molding here is over $2/ft on average and i need about 150 ft total. Has anyone designed and cut crown out of foam?

Cutting it is easy. It's the finishing that will offset the overall cost/time investment.
