I want to make these fluted pilasters that i used for the wainscoting also for the door casings. I want to keep the rosette parts 3.5" tall and stretch the center part to make the overall object a total of 78.25" tall. If i do a simple resizing it makes the rosettes 10+ inches. So because this is all one object and the pilaters are half rounds I can't just do a flat fluting toolpath.
Is there a way to just stretch the center leaving the ends the same size or do i have to take the object apart by taking the 2 ends off stretching the center, reattaching the ends?

Seems some node editing would work. Node edit mode click on nodes you want to stretch click properties and enter the new Y cordinate. I usually move the bottom of the item I want to stretch and move it to that amount then just change the Y coordinate to 0.

How were the flutes drawn were they just line vectors or rectangular pockets?

There are no nodes with this it is a one piece 3d object. The flutes are a part of the object and not a seperate 2d fluting operation otherwise i could just make the lines longer.
I'm beginning to think i need to break this apart stretch the center, reattach the rosettes or just make them seperately.

yes you need to break it unless you want ovals (G) but it is easy to do.
