I am a woodworking teacher from good old Cape Cod Ma. I have been using a ShopBot PRTalpha running ShopBot 3.0 software for the last 4 years and would like to upgrade this software. Does anyone have any suggestion which one I should use from ShopBots web site. I have been working with wood for 45 years when it comes to computers I have to admit I am pretty much brain dead
Thanks Lenny H.

Leonard...
Use the latest version: 3.6.32
Make sure that you make a restore point and backup the contents of your C:\SbParts\Custom folder.
Some of these files may be both unique to your machine and different from what is shipping in the current version. Its nice to save a backup copy.

Just save a copy to another location on the same computer. This will ensure that if you need one of those files, you will have it.

Been usinmg Rhino on a win XP Pro machine with no problems.
Got a new Dell INSPIRON I5 2.66Ghz laptop and have Rhino installed
and thought OH YEAH Shopbot sw for convertion is needed.
I have an OLD Machine running omn a win98 Laptop out in the shop.
I move cutting files to it via a CD.
SO I goto to the Version 3.4.27PRT software and install it on my
new Win7 laptop and it FAILS to do the converting to sbp. ?????
I only get a few basic lines from a 243k dxf file.
I've done a bit of messing about but NO JOY !
any clues ?
I'm not in trouble YET , just trying to figure out how to do my thang
with the newer machines and SW.
Thanks in advance
Bob
