Finally, after a few months of effort to get our company set up with the importers I have gotten a full container (15 units) of TRUPAN Ultralight on order from Chile! Mid-april I will have 12mm up to 50mm in stock in Seattle.
In about 2 weeks I will have 18mm 5x8 and 5x12 in stock. Please call me if you have questions.
Wahoo!

I would like to know this as well. Steve, Don & myself might be able to work out a small group buy or entice someone to carry it there maybe others in this area also.

Don,
We do make runs out to Rathdrum, ID to our Satellite store. We ship to our Braided Accents warehouse, where we used to make all of our braided mouldings. Now we make them here in Woodinville.
I'll keep you all informed when it lands at the port.

I second this - I'd like to know as well. I'm planning on getting some Ultralight MDF from them to use as a spoilboard...

My personal findings and research conclude this:
The panel is 60% less dense than standard mdf, and 20% less than lightweight. This will open the vacuum up for more air flow and easier on your back when moving them around.
It is made from Pine which contains much less resin than fir, which is easier on your bits.
The radiatta pine gives you a much more consistent density all the way through the panel. Look at the edge of your mdf and you can see the top/bottom are denser than the core. When you surface the panel, the sheet is under less stress because of the consistency and will have a smaller chance of wanting to warp. (It is still a wood product though)
Trupan is the only 5' wide ultralight panel on the market. They make them up to 12' long which is great for a larger machine.
Their pricing is competative with a standard lightweight, which makes them a great value because of the added features.

Just as an FYI the last Trupan I got in a couple of weeks ago was 48 x 96. It used to be 49 x 97. I don't know if this was distributor specific sizing or not but for those who that extra inch is important to their usage they should verify sizing on their next order.

Crosscut in Seattle carry's Ultralight MDF I know it's not Trupan but it might be worth giving it a try. They have locations in Seattle, Portland and Eugene.

Quote from Crosscuts
Ultralight MDF is made from 100% Radiata Pine which offers excellent dimensional
stability, light color and strength. Cuts and routs smoothly, minimizes tool wear and is a lightweight product which is easier to handle and reduces transportation costs.
Common places to use light weight MDF include furniture, laminating, mouldings, and doors.Mick
