Hi guys. I'm still pecking away trying to get this whole Artcam thing down but I just hit a wall. I imported a Vector art model on a work piece and enlarged it to my desired size without a problem. I centered it in the 2d view and it centered with no problem, but in the 3d view it's still off the center in the work piece. I've tried everything I can think of without any success. One of you guru's willing to toss a newbie a bone?

Kurt, I'm not at my Artcam computer right now, but I believe that when you import a 3D (vs pasting a relief), you are in the 3D view, not the 2D view. At the beginning of the import, in the 3D view, there is a selection for "center". If I'm not being clear enough, IM me and I would be happy to walk you through it.

Moving the vectors in 2-d won't affect the 3-d once it is pasted. You need to move it where you want it before you hit paste as well as size it. You should see an outline vector in 2-d and you can drag it where you want or use the "center in page" button on your side menu.

ALSO In 2D, double-click on the white background and then click the Zero option.
Then whatever you do in 3D will be in the same location as 2D - but this will undue ALL 3D work up to this point.
Also make sure, if you cropped, that your models origin (lower left corner) is set to 0.0. unless you're making jewellery.... probably.

If you didn't resize and position prior to pasting, you will need to use the relief distortion tool.
from the 2d view turn on the preview layer (f10)select the vector around the relief, select relief distortion, press f9 to center, check "replace original relief" then paste and of course click finish.
