My daughter in law owns her own daycare center and wants me to make a cubbyhole container that is 8' tall X 8' wide by 2' deep and my thought was to make the pieces interlock with each other by taking plywood and cutting it in 2' strips with a cutout at every 2' that is 2' long x.75 wide.

I would need 5 sections like this. Then I need 2 sides and bottom with dado's every 2 feet. If i leave the top open I can make this out of 4 full sheets of plywood. Each section would look like whats in blue on the picture. I would make the slots then cut it down the center. Am I doing my math correctly here?

She wanted it deep because te kids have their own blankets and pillows and mats for naptime along with coats and boots, ect that have to be stored away and that takes up alot of space.

Plus i think when they are bad she wants a place to put them, I guess that was what the doors and padlocks are for?:rolleyes: lol
