I recently posted a carving job I was about to start.

Here is the final project. Very little sanding was required. I ended up using Oak, only because I ran out of Cherry Plaques.

Now if I could just get one of my friends to paint it for me.

Very Nice!! How long did it take to cut? I would like to make this for my mother-in-law if you can share the file. But understand if you can not. Again Very nice work.
Excellent carving.
I like your use of Oak. This wood will carry lots of detail.
Keep up the good work.

Tim,
1. The cutting time was about 5.0 hrs including the roughing and finishing.
2. The Humming Bird came from Vector Art 3D
and the other flowers came from 3DModel Club.
3. I used Aspire 3.0 to design the work.
I am glad you like it, thanks.
