I am working on a job that will require the use of a bit with a 3/16" shank. I have a 2.2 hp spindle with 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 collets. Does anyone know if there is an adapter available or a 3/16 collet.

Tracy,

I've had good luck with this company:

Many sizes, and very good pricing.

Tracy,

Why not order out the 3/16 inch bit with a 1/4 inch shaft? I think you will be happy with the results. Kern

I bought a whole set of collets and that way I never have to worry about having to run out and buy a bit to fit my collet. I have the ER 25

I've bought a set of these from Micromark and they are light weight but work fine for the little bits. The price is right at $65 and now I have a good selection of the smaller collets. Anyone need an R8 shank? :) Russ
