I'm not having any luck running the simplest cut file through the extruder tool. No matter what values I put in for Z Height and SafeZ, and I've literally tired dozens of combinations, the thickness of my material remains the same and all the cutting happens above the material.
Is there an alternate PDF or explanation that goes into more depth about how this 'tool' works?

The vector that you use to generate the original (pre extrusion) cut path needs to be in a negative X or Y position if you wish to cut below the materials surface.
