Looking to see if there is interest in a Nothern Midwest User Group get together. If you are interested, say so and list your location, ie. central WI, etc.
Hopefully we can pull a central location between MI, MN, WI even OH and IA. I volunteer my location, but dont know how central it will be to those interested. Also post what you would be interested in seeing/learning
Thanks in advance

I am interested. It would be a trip for me but I figure being in the same room with people like you, I am bound to learn something. I would be up for anything. If it happens that I can request time off from work in advance, count me in.
Thanks,
John David

Well I'm in Canada, just 60miles north of the Mn/ND border, it would be a drive but depending on the timing I might try to attend.

I should have noted earlier..... We lost our lease and are packing and moving so the next couple months will be hectic. If Eric, or someone wants to step up to host and organize this user group, please do.

Gary,
If you planned it right you could host a camp and then as part of the get together the large group could be part of "moving" a SHOPBOT. You would have a "free" moving crew at your disposal!
Just a thought. Of course come to think of it I just moved my BOT so the experience is still fresh so I can supervise no problems.
But seriously god luck with teh move

Gerald...
Good idea, but timing is off. We are out by the end of the month. Moving a full size machine is a simple process. I have moved my old machine from one end of the shop to the other, and then a few miles down the road when it sold. We also picked up the new ATC machine in Durham, and transported it completely assembled to Michigan.
I move them in the shop using a floor jack and 4 wheel piano dollies. Down the road with a flat bed rollback wrecker. This move will use the piano dollies and the rollback. Either version only takes 1 man, plus the rollback operator.
Once in place, you must perform all leveling, squaring and calibration as tho it is a new machine. This is what takes the time.

gary Please let me know. I love to meet you all. I'm from pittsburgh so it wouldn't be to far for me to drive.
I am in North Central Minnesota and would sure try and get there.
As long as it is not snowing and I am not hunting. Fishing I can do any time.

Now that a date has been set, and ShopBot has agreed to sponsor, we are looking for a preliminary head count.
If interested please email campshopbot (at) gmail.com or caseworxmfg (at) gmail.com. Thanks in advance
