I just received a few samples of HDU. I've never worked with this material before. I'd like to have a good idea of proper speed and feed rates. I'll most likely be using 1/8" and 1/4" ballnose bits and 1/2" - 60 degree V bits.
Is there a species of wood that it is similar enough to in machining properties to get an idea of the nature of this material? I've cut cherry, maple, walnut, mahogany, pine, poplar, oak, MDF and PVC. If it cuts like any of those I'll have a good starting point.
Thanks for any info.
