Major frustration with scanner!

I am trying to scan paper plans into partworks and cannot figure out how to keep the scan and the output the same size. The paper plans have parts at 100% size, but when I scan the paper and open it in photoshop to convert the scan to a bmp the scanned image is much bigger. I am sure this has something to do with the DPI of the scanner or some other setting but I have no idea which one. Anyone out there have success with this? Re-creating parts from scratch could literally take me months:(

Brian,
I never worry about the scale of a bitmap. Just measure ONE crital dimension on the part that you are scanning, then digitize the model with vectors. Then just select all of the vectors and scale them until your measured critical dimension is correct.
