Proximity switches Yes/No

My Proximity switches work- then go off.
Then might turn on /then turn off
I just began to have this problem after 4 years.
Any ideas

Tech support said maybe loose wires?Haven't found any?

Clean them and make sure they haven't moved a bit over time so they are not quite as close when coming into range to the bolts. Triple check the wires.
