Folks:
I just got a request to do a "Celebrant's Chair" for a local church. I've looked for plans for this type of project on the 'net to purchase as a starting point, but haven't found much. I'm not concerned with the "decoration" just yet, but rather a solid design for a good high back chair. Any thoughts?

Ed,
Has the person requesting this chair seen one anywhere before? Maybe they could give you a lead. If not, it sounds like you could track down just about any midieval furniture design and embellish it with the symbols of the proper denomination...
Here is a link to a Celebrant's Chair

Try a google search for Church Furniture.

This is a perfect one for Google Images Search (http://images.google.com/imghp?hl=en). You can try celebrant chair (http://images.google.com/images?q=celebrant%2Bchair&hl=en&btnG=Google%2BSea rch), church chair (http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&lr=&q=church%2Bchair&btnG=Search), bishop chair (http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&lr=&q=bishop%2Bchair), etc. (altar, pulpit, ceremonial, throne, whatever). There is such a huge variety of styles that I think a set of suitable on-line plans would be rare, if not impossible.

No, that was the first question I asked. Surprisingly, he didn't have a firm idea of what he wanted.
Jay, Gerald - thanks for the links, I tried googling for plans but I hadn't considered a google image search. As usual the simplest solution is the last one I come around to
