That's a neat project... I can just imagine it bursting into flames during a bike race!

Back at the AWFS show in Las Vegas a few years ago we had a Shopbotter who used similar thinking to make lengths of "wooden energy chain" to run the wires on his Shopbot instead of the plastic overhead "arch".....
He used the same style links, and copper rivets to connect them.....
