Do they make a peddle powered bot? Electric company said it might be a week without power after a supercell went through our area. (southwest MN) Tornadoes and strong straight line winds did a good job on everything.

Gene R don't let Gene C fool you, he is not 100% solar. I have seen pictures. Ever wonder why you don't see his kids? He has them behind the barn running on one of those "hamster wheel" setups to generate his power. I guess the child labor laws aren't as stringent in Mexico huh?:eek::D

I've got a small generator but isn't big enough to run the bot. The electric company is still calling for 3 to 5 days before power is restored. At least its a long weekend.

solar is not cheap, storage cells are the weak link, the genset cost very close to $7/hr to run for the shop. where i live there are no town services so solar/genset is my only option. if i had to do it over again...i wouldn't change a darn thang except have a couple more bots in the shop :p
