Here are some pictures of a Mahogany Bar top we made a few months ago. The contractor supplied some OSB templates that did not match anything, but the architect had it drawn in Autocad so I was able to use the DXF files. We glued up and sanded all the slabs, then cut out tops, front edge banding, back work trays, and substrate pieces that went under the mahogany. Most of the pictures show us laying them out to make sure all the joints are square and it will fit properly. The contractor installed all of it and supplied a couple pictures of it installed. All the curved pieces were cut on the Shopbot.

Ah those were the good old days. Tell the (now ex) wife you're going hunting on mahogany ridge. Come back three sheets to the wind. Get into trouble and hope she didn't have a kitchen knife handy. Funny thing is, mahogany ridge was an actual bar and their bar top was pine. Very nice job fitting all those pieces together. Looks great installed. I hope the contractor didn't complain that you didn't use the templates.

Hehe - if the contractor's templates were what were underneath your pieces in your pictures, I bet he's really glad you didn't use his templates! :D
Great job, Tracy.
