bevel on oval

I need to create a 30 deg bevel on an oval table top.
I've been trying to do this with the extrude tool but have had no luck.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong

i am still new at this but would a profile cut with a 60 degree v-bit give you want you want?

With a 2" thickness ( which I should have mentioned)it would have to be vcarved with a 60deg bit
I still would like to know what I'm not doing right in artcam.

My 60 will only do down about .8 inch before you loose the exact bevel. i use partworks so not sure how to assist.

I was using a single 60deg line for the profile.
Sometimes the simplest things can be the most difficult to remember how to do.
