Hi people. Still banging my head against the learning curve. I try to figure out things on my own and also search the net for answers before bothering you good people, but after 2 days I've given in. When i see something wrong in the 3D window and go back to the 2D view and correct the problem the 3D won't show the correction. It just stays the same no matter what. Can someone be so kind to set me on the right path. I promise someday when I know what I'm doing (if that ever happens lol) I'll return the favor to the board.

Kurt:
Whenever you do something in 3-d you should look at the results immediately. If you don't like it you should "undo" it before you redo it differently. It could be that your "new" thing has happened but it can't be seen because it is inside of the mistake.
An example would be if you used merge high to add material and then merged high again but not as high.

Beyond that you would need to be a lot more specific.

Thanks Dave. You hit the nail on the head. Lesson learned. Now I am having a problem with my Iso letters. for some reason all the center of the closed letters won't machine after calculating. The O's are just round domes. The center is not machining away. I'm going to get this on my own. Will it never end! LOL!!!

Sounds like you didn't select the island/center of the 'O' in addition to the outer portion of the 'O'...

"When you can snatch the pebble....then it will be time for you to leave"

Bradys right, you need to select your inside and outside parameters or it just cuts everything inside,
he would know since he is our "Master Po" :D (old reference)

LOL! You guys are a blast! Everything was selected and all the fonts were grouped together. I just grouped and then regrouped and everything was right again. must of been some kinda software glitch. And Dave, I know it won't end, but it's fun most of the time so I'll take the little bit of bad with the whole lot a good! Thanks for the input guys.
