I have been asked to at least assist in trying to find a company that can replicate 175 of these chairs and relatively fast. It will be for a movie, don't know what movie we usually find that out when we go to ship the items.
If anyone is interested please email me here at melissa@nicecarvings.com
POST EDIT: Here are some updated details:
~The chairs need to be finished mid January.
~The chairs need to be replicas in shape but not necessarily material. If they can be made with a cheaper material, even some kind of composite would be acceptable if the appearance is there.
We can pay for a sample chair if someone is up for the challenge of the project.
Thank you! :)

god that would be a lot of work. most of the work would not be cnc though. but chairs can take a lot of time.
The twirly part at the end of the arms could be done with CNC but I see a lot of bent-form lamination work on this.
I've done a lot of bent-form work but couldn't get that many chairs done in a short amount of time. It would also be expensive because of the hand work needed. I hope the client has deep pockets.
Sorry I can't be of help.

Instead of anyone I should have asked is any one army interested in making these chairs.
I realize this is asking for a lot, but I just thought I would try to see if anyone even knows of an organization that could pull something like this off. I'm sure the money is there, the last two movies I worked on for these people had budgets of over 100 million dollars each.
I have to double check the timeline, it's possible that it could be a deadline of around 2-3 months.

Hi Melissa. I sent you a email in regards to the chairs. I have a supplier that I am sure can do this.
Melissa,
I sure wish I could do this for you!
I could use the work, but I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to make the timeline as I'm not tooled to make these types of chairs, otherwise I would jump on it.
I wish you the best of luck. :)

Thank you all for the help. Will be returning emails as soon as we hear back from everybody. Thanks for the help everyone! :)
looks like a 100kgarage project between several shops....a couple to make the end carvings, others the legs, the backs then assemble, spray and split the 90k and the premier tickets...
or outsource to..... http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/314913956/Antique_solid_wood_dining_chair_leather/showimage.html to something like this

I would check over at the WoodWeb forum. I am sure there are guys over there who would love to do this.
I wish I could take something like this on. Making even 17 by the deadline would be a challenge.

Do they need anyone to SIT in the CHAIRS for the movie ???
That might be an option for many...
use one sample chair and take it apart (bottom, back, legs) Make fiberglass molds from the bottom and back. Back as a two piece...
buy the legs from a standard supplier.....Paint as needed.

Thank you all! Yes, it does appear as though molding and casting for this project might be the best way to make the deadline. We have now shifted our focus to that.
If anyone cares to send a ballpark price quote on the project, please feel free to do that here. melissa@nicecarvings.com
