Got a call some one wants me to help them make a high end box with a logo routed in to the top (the box hold a flat screen tv)
the letters are 3" tall push through letters that will be back lit
1" of the letters must extend out,(pushed through)
The letters are made of white acrylic.
I thinking 1.25 thick acrylic,
cutting this is going to be interesting. A 1/8" bit might not give me the detail I need for the logo and what do I do to find a 1/16" bit that will cut that deep.

Oh the cherry, the letters are capped / topped in polished aluminum.

Price out 1.25" acrylic & then see if the customer will pay for it. It is a fortune...and there is no way you could cut it that thick with a 1/8 or 1/16" bit and have it not look like you cut it by hand with a RotoZip.
