Okay I cut a lithophane and I have some extra lines ie ever so slightly deeper lines . the is only one spot that I would say z access lost a step . the rest are only at the deepest part of the lithophane . So I started looking at the z axis mechanically I found that the PC 75182 router had some play vertically so I replace it with My Hitachi M12VC from my Joes2006 after I cut some spacer rings from Corian. Much quiter router so that is a plus .

I also found .012 play/ backlash in the Z axis when at the lowest point and 0.010 at the highest point . What is the proper way to adjust this ?

If you have ideas what else I should like at please let me know

thanks
Kent
