Guys...
Just finished my last wholesale cutting job with this ATC machine. Cutting was 3/4 & 1/2 Melamine for a wholesale customer. I used a "test" Compression bit from Centurion tools that they had sent to see how it compared to "an unamed high priced bit from a state close to MI"
I was not able to cut enough sheets to kill the bit, but I did get enough cut to surpass what I have cut with other brands, except for the one unmentioned above. Note that this was a test, and they they may not be on the shelves at Centurion, and that they will cost a few bucks more than the ones I had been using. Overall, and in the long run, I see my per sheet tooling cost being lower with the new bits. 1/3 less than with the OEM Centurion, and half of what the high priced ones cost.
The main point is that this is one of the few bits I have seen that will do multiple passes in Melamine and live beyond 15 sheets. If you cut melamine, send an email to fred (at) centuriontools.com and check out availability and prices.
